CA_installation failed, check the CA-silentInstall-ResultCodes.RTF file for the error code = 1

To deploy Change Assistant, you run the command:

SetupPTClient -t

Usually, the deployment of Change Assistant goes smooth, without giving any errors. However, in some recent Update Images, I noticed that installation of change assistant would fail with the below error: 

CA_installation failed, check the CA-silentInstall-ResultCodes.RTF file for the error code = 1

How to Resolve CA_installation failed, check the CA-silentInstall-ResultCodes.RTF file for the error code = 1

The likely cause of the error is that there is a previous version of Change Assistant installed/deployed on the same machine and is interfering with the new PT Client Install.

To resolve the error, try the following:

1. Uninstall the previous versions of Change Assistant from Control Panel -> Uninstall a Program

2. Delete the Change Assistant folder from Program Files.

3. Once above two steps are done, run PTClientDeploy again
