EQA-13000: Operation “delete” Cannot Be Performed on an Object Type “schedule” in State “EXECUTING”. ( 262,1018).

If you’re on PeopleTools 8.53 and have deployed PeopleSoft Search Framework, you may come across this situation where you get the error “EQA-13000: Operation “delete” Cannot Be Performed on an Object Type “schedule” in State “EXECUTING”. ( 262,1018)”.

I experienced this situation when I had to cancel the Search Index processes on the Process Monitor page after it had run over the weekend. Then when I wanted to re-deploy or undeploy the Index, I received the error, which essentially said that I can’t run or undeploy because the process is still executing.

It is evident that the issue is caused by a hanging process, which ran for hours. To get the issue resolved, what needs to be done is to cancel the failed schedules by following the steps below.
  1. Signon to the SES console and go to Failed Schedules.
  2. Delete the failed Schedules and Source for the appropriate index.
  3. Signon to PeopleSoft and run Report Sync Issues on the index from the Deploy/Delete page.
  4. Try to undeploy and reapply the index again.
